To support the evolving needs and increasing demands placed on the existing infrasturcture at the marsh, plans are underway to build a new educational and research centre at the marsh.  A new organization, the Hilliardton Marsh Bird & Wetland Research & Education Centre (HMBWREC) has been formed as a not-for-profit organization to direct the development of the new infrastructure projects and manage the facility into the future.
