Volunteers are flocking to The Marsh this spring to help the TERRA students do their migration monitoring work. Volunteers can be trained to help take birds out of mist nets and to conduct census work at The Marsh.  Volunteers are asked to observe for their first few times out, but we will soon have you taking on a greater role. We arrive at the marsh at 6:00 am and band birds until close to noon. Some of our volunteers help out from 6:00 to 9:00, then scoot to work.

We welcome all who are keen to learn and get along well with others. It helps if you are a morning person. If you are interested in helping at The Marsh during this spring migration, or if you are interested in helping out with the fall Northern Saw-whet or Boreal Owl banding research, please get in touch with Bruce Murphy.
